CARD 1 of 3

  • Card Base: 4-1/4 x 11" Score: 5-1/2" (Lemon Lolly Cardstock)
  • Insert: 4 x 5-1/4" (Basic White Cardstock)
  • Night of Navy Deckled Rectangle 3-3/4 x 5-1/8"
  • Basic White Deckled Rectangle 3-3/8 x 4-3/4"
  • Basic White Deckled Rectangle 3 4-1/4"
  • Basic Black Deckled Rectangle (plus scrap piece optional)
  • Thanks Die Cut (Thanks & Beyond Dies Add-On)
  • (1) Lemon Lolly Circle (Size: 2-3/8" Circle)
  • (5) Sparkle Gems

INSTRUCTIONS

To create your night sky with Stampin' Blends (from the top down)

  • Night of Navy Dark (about three or four lines across)
  • Night of Navy Light (same as above)
  • Misty Moonlight Dark (same as above)
  • Misty Moonlight Light (same as above)
  • Boho Blue Dark (same as above)
  • Boho Blue Light (same as above)

I recommend just meeting the new color at the line of the last color. Don't feel like you have to color over the prior color. The stampin' blends are alcohol based markers that will blend nicely. If you do feel something is too dark try going over it with the lighter blue or use your Color Lifter. While the Color Lifter is not an eraser it will pull up and make the area used much lighter. I did not use my color lifter for this.

My goal with this was not to be perfectly blended but to create a cool, moody night sky for our moon. Let panel dry for a few moments before stamping onto it.

To Stamp:

  • Moon stamp from Under the Moon Stamp Set onto the Lemon Lolly circle with Gray Granite ink
  • Stamp the farm house from From our Home Stamp Set onto the same moon in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Fill in the entire house image with Stampin' Write Marker in Basic Black
  • NOTE: You could also use your Stampin' Blends in Basic Black but I recommend masking the house before stamping the moon in that case
  • Position your hillside die cut in black so you know where to stamp your trees from the Scenic Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set

Assemble Card:

Glue the Night of Navy to card first then the Basic White Layer.

Position your moon upper left of the Night Sky you created. Line up the hillside die cut in Black. Add the leftover piece in corner if you think necessary. I did add an extra snipet to mine in the left corner. Stamp those threes if you haven't already before gluing the moon and hillside to your sky scene.

Glue to card. Glue Thanks die cut (or desired sentiment) to the bottom of the hillside.

Finish with sparkle gems! PS don't forget to glue your insert into the card!

CARD 2 of 3

  • Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" Score: 4-1/4" (Peach Pie Cardstock)
  • Insert: 4 x 5-1/4" (Basic White Cardstock)
  • (2) Basic White Deckled Rectangle 3-3/4 x 5-1/8"
  • (7) Sparkle Gems

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut the Deckled Rectangle Die. Then line up the tree scene die from Grove dies and die cut again with Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

This time, stamp the house from the From Our Home Stamp Set toward the bottom of the Deckled Rectangle you are going to color with your blends. Use the die cut tree scene to line up and stamp your house inbetween the trees but don't glue it down yet. Stamp the house in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Stamp the house again on Stampin' Up! Masking Paper. Fussy cut and place mask over the house you stamped on the rectangle die cut.

Create your sunset sky with other Deckled Rectangle Die Cut with Stampin' Blends (from the top down)

NOTE: This time the die cut is horizontal or in the landscape position. The mask will protect the house image. You can color freely over the mask.

  • Cajun Craze Dark (about three or four lines across)
  • Cajun Craze Light (same as above)
  • Pumpkin Pie Dark (same as above)
  • Pumpkin Pie Light (same as above)
  • Peach Pie Dark (same as above)
  • Peach Pie Light (same as above)

Set aside to let the sky dry. it's ok to remove the mask on the house stamp now.

To color the house:

  • Poppy Parade Combo for House
  • Pebbled Path and Basic Black Combo for the Roof and Porch Roof (and wraparound porch railing)
  • Daffodil Delight Dark for the Windows
  • Shaded Spruce for the tree and grassy around below the foundation of the house
  • NOTE: Add detail to the trim with Stampin' Write Basic Black Marker (optional)

To color the Grove Scene Die Cut:

  • Ink with Shaded Spruce ink pad or blends
  • Use the darkest brown shade in the Natural Tones Stampin' Blends SU 100 for the tree trunks

Stamp "Home Sweet Home" from the From Our Home Stamp Set just above the house where the roof drops. (It kind of nests in there)

Once your panels are dry, glue the tree scene over the sunset sky scene with house. (It's ok if your die cut edges on the deckled rectangles are not perfect but if this bothers you just trim off the edges of the sunset scene layer before gluing the tree scene over it.

Finish with sparkle gems in gold.

CARD 3 of 3

  • Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" Score: 4-1/4" (Night of Navy Cardstock)
  • Insert: 4 x 5-1/4" (Basic White Cardstock)
  • (1) Night of Navy Deckled Rectangle 3-3/4 x 5-1/8"
  • (1) Die Cut Tree Scene (Grove Dies) Basic Black Cardstock
  • (1) Basic White 2-3/8" Circle
  • (1) Die Cut Thanks in Basic White (Thanks & Beyond Dies Add-On)
  • (7) Sparkle Gems

INSTRUCTIONS

Stamp moon in Basic Beige onto the Basic White circle. Stamp the farm house from the From Our Home stamp set onto the moon (no need to mask if coloring in with Stampin' Write Basic Black marker). Color in the image just as you did with Card 1. Optional: trim the bottom edge of the moon off when you place behind tree scene.

Add some black ink to the edges of the Night of Navy Deckled Rectangle with a blending brush.

Position the tree scene die cut over the Night of Navy Rectangle die cut but don't glue it yet. Place your moon where desired. Once you know where the moon is going, take the Whisper White Pigment Ink and a blending brush and create a radiating circle that will be larger than the 2-3/8" circle. This is going to become the glow of the moon so you can decide how soft or bold you want your white color.

Place the tree die cut scene on dimensionals. Place moon on dimensionals. Glue moon in the center of the white glow circle you just created. Then position and glue your tree scene.

Glue the die cut thanks lower right corner. Adhere this whole panel to Night of Navy card base.

Finish with sparkle gems in silver (to look like stars in the night sky)

SO EASY to make backgrounds with your Stampin' Blends Markers!
You choose your color combo and have fun with this!
Here is the combo I used for Card 1 (shown here and above)

I highly recommend Stampin' Up! Masking Paper as an
affordable and useful tool for your craft room
so you can make fun projects like this in repeat!
TIP: If you make a silhouette with a Stampin' Write Basic Black marker
you do not need to mask
If you use your Stampin' Blends Combo Pack in Black I recommend
masking your house prior to stamping this fabulous moon!
