One Sheet Wonder You NEED TO TRY in 2023! EASY Set of Cards That WOW in Minutes! 12 x 12 Template

Dandy Designs Saleabration Designer Series Paper
Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper + Greatest Journey Bundle

Today is all about the one sheet wonder!

Dandy Designs Saleabration Designer Series Paper
Favored Flowers Saleabration Designer Series Paper + Something Fancy Bundle

What's that? A fun and efficient way to use your Designer Series Paper if you like to make multiple cards at a time!

I have a FREE project sheet you can download here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/eIWgfst/12x12onesheetwonder

The instructions are also here on the blog today.

Here is the template:

Cutting the DSP this way will give you 6 (4 x 5-1/4") pieces
and 6 (3/4 x 4") pieces so plan to create 6 identical cards!

I chose a floral theme and an adventure theme as the examples to show you the range of Dandy Designs DSP but also that any theme will be adorable with a one sheet wonder!

If you are in a crafty rut, if you are new to cardmaking, if you get stuck when it comes to design... if you love all of the new Saleabration items you've gotten but you aren't sure how to use all of that paper... the one sheet wonder will be so much fun for you to try! I really think if given the chance you will love it!

CARD MEASUREMENTS:

  • Card Base: 4-1/4  x 11" score at 5-1/2" - Fresh Freesia Cardstock
  • Basic Black Cardstock Layer: 4-1/8 x 5-3/8"
  • Dandy Designs Fresh Freesia Plaid DSP Layer: 4 x 5-1/4" (one sheet wonder cut)
  • Dandy Designs Fresh Freesia DSP Strip Piece: 3/4 x 4" (one sheet wonder cut)
  • Scalloped Contour Die (2-3/8 x 3-3/4" size) - Fresh Freesia
  • Favored Flowers DSP Layer: 2 x 3-1/4"
  • Something Fancy Die Cut - Basic White (1-1/4 x 2-1/8" size)
  • 3 Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds
  • INSERT (for the inside of card) Basic White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4"

NOTE: The goal of the one sheet wonder is to use every inch of your DSP in an economical and fun way! I recommend cutting the above pieces x 6 so you can make all 6 cards at once in a sort of assembly line style. You can get two card bases out of one sheet of 8-1/2 x 11" cardstock.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Glue the Basic Black panel to the card base.

Glue the DSP piece next and then the 3/4" strip in the center of the card. Flip the piece over so you are using a different pattern than the piece you just glued down.

Glue Favored Flowers DSP to the scalloped rectangle. Stamp "Thank You" from Something Fancy stamp set in Stayz On Jet Black Ink onto the die cut piece in Basic White cardstock. Place the sentiment die cut and the scalloped rectangle up on dimensionals and add to card, center.

Finish with the opal rounds, two bottom left and one top right.

CARD MEASUREMENTS:

  • Card Base: 4-1/4  x 11" score at 5-1/2" - Coastal Cabana Cardstock
  • Basic Black Cardstock Layer: 4-1/8 x 5-3/8"
  • Dandy Designs Coastal Cabana Plaid DSP Layer: 4 x 5-1/4" (one sheet wonder cut)
  • Dandy Designs Coastal Cabana DSP Strip Piece: 3/4 x 4" (one sheet wonder cut)
  • Scalloped Contour Die (2-3/8 x 3-3/4" size) - Garden Green Cardstock
  • Enjoy the Journey Coastal Cabana Mountain and Tree theme DSP Layer: 2 x 3-1/4"
  • Die Cut Hiker in Basic Black Cardstock
  • 3 Soft Succulent Opal Rounds from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds
  • INSERT (for the inside of card) Basic White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4"

INSTRUCTIONS:

The one sheet wonder steps are exactly the same. The only differences here are stamping the sentiment directly onto the Enjoy the Journey Designer Series Paper in Stayz On Ink in Jet Black. Sentiment: Mountain of Thanks from Greatest Journey Stamp Set. This card also features a die cut of a hiker holding a lantern, cut in Basic Black cardstock for the perfect silhouette for the forest/ mountain scene. The embellishments on this card Soft Succulent instead of Evening Evergreen.

TIP:

If you are choosing a pattern like the mountain and trees, take a few dies in your favorite size and shape and hold it up to the paper. See if the size die you chose shows the pieces of the DSP you want your card recipient to enjoy. If it looks good and captures the scene then cut it out! I cut the Mountain DSP in 2" strips from left to right. I made sure that the trees stayed visible and trimmed the skyline down until it measured to 3-1/4" (the size that fits into the scalloped rectangle die). The result was fabulous!

You can plug any theme into a one sheet wonder.

If you enjoyed this then do a search for one sheet wonder and you'll see so many different configurations that you can cut your DSP to and get on a whole set of cards! It's so much fun to watch these cards come together assembly style!

I will include a full product list of the items used to create these cards today.

Here are the original cards the Paper Pumpkin team
designed for the kit

Having fun with a stamped background using the
stamp set from the Paper Pumpkin Kit

The Framed Florets dies pair perfectly with
the January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I thought this kit had an old romantic vintage vibe and I really wanted to capture that in the alternate cards today. I did incorporate heat embossing which is always optional but so much fun!

How to Make a Set of Thank You Cards: On the Farm Saleabration Designer ...

Hello and welcome! Today we are making Thank You cards with the Day at the Farm Saleabration Designer Series Paper and the Thanks a Bunch Saleabration stamp set!

I will have a full list of products used or mentioned in the video linked below. The January Host Code has already been added for your shopping convenience!

Both the stamp set and paper used today are part of the Sale-a-Bration promotion running from January 5 to February 28, 2023! That means you can earn these items free with a qualifying purchase!

Example: Purchase the "On the Farm Bundle" (over $50 before tax) you can choose either the Thanks a Bunch stamp set or Day at the Farm DSP FREE! It is a great time to shop!

MEASUREMENTS:

Note: I am using the Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes which are pre-cut and scored and make making thank you cards a breeze! You can make your card bases from scratch if you prefer.

  • Card Base: 5 x 7 score at 3-1/2" (Basic White)
  • DSP Layer 1: 1-1/4 x 4-3/4"
  • DSP Layer 2: 2 x 4-3/4"
  • Coordinating Cardstock Layer: 3-3/8 x 4-7/8"
  • Decorative Elements: Ribbon and Classic Matte Dots
  • Die Cuts: I went for two smaller dies, both look like tags, use what you prefer for your cards
  • Layering Stitched Rectangle Dies (used on 2 of the 4 cards shown)
CORRECTION:

I had said in the video I used the Cup of Tea Bundle. I actually just the Cup of Tea stamp set and the dies were from Fabulous Frames and Mini Pocket Envelope Dies (to clarify). Any small tag or rectangle die will do.

INSTRUCTIONS:

For the Thank You cards: choose two pieces of DSP that coordinate and cut to size. I will use the cow card as an example here. Glue Cardstock layer to card base. Place a piece of Tear and Tape adhesive across the seam where the two pieces of DSP meet so it becomes easy to manage as one layer. Tuck adhesive around edge of seam on each side. Lay the gingham ribbon over the top the tear and tape and also tuck edges behind the layer. Glue to card front.

Stamp sentiment on die cut piece. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the tag die cut for this card. Tie a bow separately with gingham ribbon. Add to card with glue dot. Place tag on dimensional and tuck under or next to ribbon.

Place the Rectangle die cut cow (from the DSP pattern paper) and the layering piece on dimensionals and add to card front.

Each thank you card has the same measurements. You can vary the decorative elements and ink for the stamps on each card. I used "enjoy" from Cup of Tea Stamp set on the cow card. The "Thanks" sentiment is from Thanks a Bunch Saleabration stamp set on the other cards.

For the carrot card:

This card base is a little larger: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score at 4-1/4" (Basic White)
DSP Layers also cut larger:
  • DSP Layer 1: 2-5/8 x 5-1/4"
  • DSP Layer 2: 1-1/2 x 5-1/4"
No coordinating cardstock layer for this card but the design concept is exactly the same as the thank you card. The inks used for the stamps:
  • carrots - Pumpkin Pie
  • carrot top - Garden Green
  • sentiment - Cherry Cobbler
The layering rectangle is Crushed Curry Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed today's card ideas! Don't miss the awesome deals during Sale-a-Bration!

NEW FOLD CARD - EASY and ADORABLE Fun Fold with the Brand New Rain or Sh...

Hello! Welcome to the blog! We are playing with the Rain or Shine Suite from the brand new Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!

These are two easy fun folds that anyone can make!

Before I jump in, here are a few reminders regarding Paper Pumpkin:

Ok, today's EASY FUN FOLD:

MEASUREMENTS:
  • Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score at 4-1/4"
  • Insert (Fun Fold Element): 5-1/4 x 8" score at 4 and 6 inches
  • 2 DSP Panels for the insert: 1-3/4 x 5" each
  • DSP for Card Front: 4 x 5-1/4"
  • 2-1/2" circle die cut in Basic White
  • 2-5/8 circle die cut to cut out of card front and another in coordinating cardstock (Balmy Blue, Mango Melody)
  • 3" Scalloped Circle Die cut (use this with 2-5/8" circle to create scalloped frame for card front) Balmy Blue Cardstock
INSTRUCTIONS:

We will be using elements from the Rain or Shine suite for both cards.

BUNNY CARD (Rain Card)

Die cut Bunny from Designer Series Paper. Die cut 2 patches of grass from the coordinating dies in Garden Green. Die cut two tree trunks in Balmy Blue cardstock and then trim off the tree trunk so only top of the tree is left. Turn this into puddles to place under the bunny's feet.

Stamp the Basic White Circle Die Cut with the raindrops stamp several times to create a rain pattern in Balmy Blue ink.

Glue Bunny to the circle. Glue white circle onto the the slightly larger Mango Melody circle. Add the grass and puddles. Add several Loose Daisy Embellishments.

Glue DSP panel to card front. Cut circle out of the card front with Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Use Bone Folder to smooth edges of the Basic White insert fun fold element. Glue the two DSP strips to the fun fold portion. Glue to inside of card. Stamp sentiment and rain drops in center of insert.

Place glue on right side only of the circle with bunny. Position so it lines up with the circle cut out of the card front. Glue to the fun fold piece.

TURTLE CARD (Shine Card)

The cuts are the exactly the same. We just changed the character to a Turtle and we are switching the stamp to "Oh Happy Day" with a daisy theme instead of rain with the DSP.

Stamp "Oh Happy Day" lower right in Memento Black ink on white circle. Glue the turtle upper left. Add several Loose Daisy Embellishments. Glue to the Mango Melody circle.

Repeat same steps to create this EASY and ADORABLE fun fold!
