How to Make a Set of Thank You Cards: On the Farm Saleabration Designer ...

Hello and welcome! Today we are making Thank You cards with the Day at the Farm Saleabration Designer Series Paper and the Thanks a Bunch Saleabration stamp set!

I will have a full list of products used or mentioned in the video linked below. The January Host Code has already been added for your shopping convenience!

Both the stamp set and paper used today are part of the Sale-a-Bration promotion running from January 5 to February 28, 2023! That means you can earn these items free with a qualifying purchase!

Example: Purchase the "On the Farm Bundle" (over $50 before tax) you can choose either the Thanks a Bunch stamp set or Day at the Farm DSP FREE! It is a great time to shop!

MEASUREMENTS:

Note: I am using the Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes which are pre-cut and scored and make making thank you cards a breeze! You can make your card bases from scratch if you prefer.

  • Card Base: 5 x 7 score at 3-1/2" (Basic White)
  • DSP Layer 1: 1-1/4 x 4-3/4"
  • DSP Layer 2: 2 x 4-3/4"
  • Coordinating Cardstock Layer: 3-3/8 x 4-7/8"
  • Decorative Elements: Ribbon and Classic Matte Dots
  • Die Cuts: I went for two smaller dies, both look like tags, use what you prefer for your cards
  • Layering Stitched Rectangle Dies (used on 2 of the 4 cards shown)
CORRECTION:

I had said in the video I used the Cup of Tea Bundle. I actually just the Cup of Tea stamp set and the dies were from Fabulous Frames and Mini Pocket Envelope Dies (to clarify). Any small tag or rectangle die will do.

INSTRUCTIONS:

For the Thank You cards: choose two pieces of DSP that coordinate and cut to size. I will use the cow card as an example here. Glue Cardstock layer to card base. Place a piece of Tear and Tape adhesive across the seam where the two pieces of DSP meet so it becomes easy to manage as one layer. Tuck adhesive around edge of seam on each side. Lay the gingham ribbon over the top the tear and tape and also tuck edges behind the layer. Glue to card front.

Stamp sentiment on die cut piece. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the tag die cut for this card. Tie a bow separately with gingham ribbon. Add to card with glue dot. Place tag on dimensional and tuck under or next to ribbon.

Place the Rectangle die cut cow (from the DSP pattern paper) and the layering piece on dimensionals and add to card front.

Each thank you card has the same measurements. You can vary the decorative elements and ink for the stamps on each card. I used "enjoy" from Cup of Tea Stamp set on the cow card. The "Thanks" sentiment is from Thanks a Bunch Saleabration stamp set on the other cards.

For the carrot card:

This card base is a little larger: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score at 4-1/4" (Basic White)
DSP Layers also cut larger:
  • DSP Layer 1: 2-5/8 x 5-1/4"
  • DSP Layer 2: 1-1/2 x 5-1/4"
No coordinating cardstock layer for this card but the design concept is exactly the same as the thank you card. The inks used for the stamps:
  • carrots - Pumpkin Pie
  • carrot top - Garden Green
  • sentiment - Cherry Cobbler
The layering rectangle is Crushed Curry Cardstock.
