For today's card you will need the Window Wishes Bundle from Stampin' Up! or a "build a scene" stamp set of some kind with house or town images. I also recommend trees, but for the sake of this blog post I will be referring to the Window Wishes Bundle and recommend it.

First, I CASEd this card from the Mini Catalog July to December 2022 from Stampin' Up! See Page 36. If you are not familiar with CASEing it means to Copy And Share Everything (correct me if that isn't it I sometimes get the E in CASE confused).

Now, I did not do an EXACT or PRECISE CASE. I changed up the layout very slightly. My rooftops are stamped and die cut. Stampin' Up! used Gold Foil for the die cut rooftops so they did not need the stamp for the rooves. Their sentiment is on a separate piece of cardstock. Mine is stamped directly on the card. I changed the color of the houses but the DESIGN & CONCEPT are the same so I am calling  this a CASE card. I hope that helps! And I want to give credit where it is due!

I was so inspired by this card!  A few things before I get to the assembly and instructions:

  • Sale-a-Bration is happening now! July 1 - Aug 31, 2022
  • When you purchase the Window Wishes BUNDLE you will qualify for a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration reward ($50 purchase before tax and shipping)
  • I have a July Host Code! When you spend $50 in the online store with me (before tax and shipping) I'll send you a FREE embellishment in August.
  • Great way to great free products when you shop! All of the product links are below and the Host Code has already been added to the links so it will auto populate in your shopping cart when you click the bundle link below.
CARD MEASUREMENTS/ WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4" Mint Macaron Cardstock
  • Layer 1: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/8 x 5-3/8"
  • Layers 2, 3, 4: Long Scraps of Basic White Cardstock about 1 or 2 inches wide that you can trim to 5-1/2" length wise for your scene
  • 5 Stamped & Die Cut Houses
  • 5 Stamped & Die Cut Rooves for the Houses
  • 5 Single Tree Die Cuts (Garden Green Cardstock)
  • 5 Double Tree Die Cuts (Garden Green Cardstock)
  • Sentiment Stamp "Merry Wishes" in Shaded Spruce
  • Embellishment: Seasonal Adhesive Backed Sequins in Frosty White (5 of them)

Here are the colors I chose for the stamped houses: Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Shaded Spruce

Note: I also use Shaded Spruce Ink for the tree branch pattern on the die cut trees and also for the Sentiment stamp

I chose Soft Suede for the roof of each house on this card but if you want to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) Stampin' Up! used Gold Foil for the die cut rooftops! See Page 36 in the Mini Catalog July to December 2022 from Stampin' Up!

You can use your Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine for this project!

Stamp and die cut your houses, trees and rooftops.

Cut a slope into your long Basic White scraps at the top edge of each scrap. There are two slope dies that help create this look for you. Use your Paper Snip scissors to continue that downward slope and trim off the excess at the edge of the card. For the bottom slope, if using scrap clean up the bottom edge with your Paper Trimmer.

I recommend gluing pieces as you assemble and for the three slopes, glue at the sides or middle but not too close to the slope edge so you can easily tuck and glue in the houses and trees.

Nestle your houses and trees in a pattern you like! No rules! Or refer to the card samples.

That's it! Finish by stamping your sentiment lower right corner and top it off with sequins that sparkle like snowflakes. Isn't it beautiful!!!! There are a bunch of pieces to this card but it is SO WORTH the effort. I love cards that create an instant cozy feeling and this card does that beautifully!!
