TEMPORARY BLOG CHANGES "SUMMER 2025"
Life has its way of adding twists and turns and the last year was a struggle to keep this blog fully up to date. As a matter of fact, some things hadn't been updated since last Fall. I am truly sorry I had to step away.
Starting now, I will still post my video links and photos to this blog but I will not be posting the way I used to here. I will temporarily stop adding the fully linked product lists. I love doing this and I have missed it. I'm going to do my best to get back on a more regular schedule but for this (Summer 2025) I will share mainly on YouTube and Facebook and add the video links to this blog to keep those of you coming here from Pinterest informed.

In celebration of the launch of the September to December 2024 Mini Catalog (aka the holiday catalog) here is a free project sheet for three Nests of Winter Suite card ideas. I will be using the Nests of Winter Suite products *stamp set, dies, paper, etc* to create these cards.
Card Base: 5-1/2 x 11" Score: 4-1/4, 5-1/2 and 6-3/4" (Copper Clay Cardstock)
(2) Nests of Winter DSP: 4 x 5-1/4 (one for inside and one for outside of card)
Card Front DSP Strip: 2 x 5-1/2" (Nests of Winter DSP)
Inside DSP Strip: 1 x 5-1/4"
Inside Deckled Rectangle Die Cut (Size: 3 x 4-1/4") Basic White Cardstock
(1) Deckled Circle Die Cut (Size: 2-3/4") Basic White Cardstock
(1) Deckled Circle Die Cut (Size: 3-1/4") Early Espresso Cardstock
(1) Die Cut Birds from DSP (two birds) Nests of Winter DSP
(3) Pine Tree Die Cuts (Shaded Spruce Cardstock) Winterly Tree Top Dies
(2) Branch Die Cuts (Early Espresso Cardstock or Pecan Pie) Winterly Tree Top Dies
(2) Pussy Willow Die Cuts (Basic White Cardstock) Winterly Tree Top Dies
Fold on your three score lines so the fold looks like an M (think mountain - valley fold) see the video tutorial for this part if needed. Once you have your score lines folded you are actually going to glue them together so the two score lines meet and now you have a 1-1/4" flap inside your card that will become the fun fold.
Stamp "A friend like you brings me happiness" in Shaded Spruce ink on the Deckled Rectangle Die Cut. Set aside.
For the inside of the card:
glue the Bird Pattern DSP strip onto the fun fold flap inside the card (1 x 5-1/4" strip)
glue the Birch DSP panel to the inside of the card (4 x 5-1/4" panel)
add glue only to the top of the Deckled Rectangle and then adhere it to the fun fold flap
For the outside of the card:
glue the Pussy Willow Copper Clay Pattern DSP panel (4 x 5-1/4" size) to card front
wrap the thread around the 2 x 5-1/2" strip in Birch pattern three times and then glue to card front
glue the two deckled circles together and then add circle to the center of your card front with dimensionals
decorate the circle with your die cut bird duo, pine branches, pussy willow die cuts and die cut branches (arrange how you like around the birds)
add several earth tones shimmer gems to the circle
tie a bow with the thread and glue to the side of circle
Card Base: 5-1/2 x 7-1/2" Score: 3-1/4 and 6-1/2" (Cherry Cobbler Cardstock)
Copper Clay Panel: 3 x 5-1/4"
Copper Clay Strip: 7/8 x 5-1/4"
Bird Pattern DSP Panel: 2-3/4 x 5"
Bird Foot Print DSP Strip: 3/4 x 5"
Basic White Insert: 3 x 5-1/4"
(5) Fussy cut berry clusters from DSP
(1) Pine Tree Strip Cut From Frame Die: 5-1/4"
(1) 2-3/8" Circle (Cherry Cobbler Cardstock)
(1) 2" Circle Bird Foot Print DSP
(1) Die Cut Bird from DSP
(2) Die Cut Pine Branches (Garden Green Cardstock)
(3) Earth Tone Shimmer Gems
INSTRUCTIONS
Glue the DSP to the Copper Clay layers and then glue to card front. Add the strip of pine branches to the back fold panel.
Stamp sentiment onto the insert and glue inside of the card.
Glue the circles together and add die cut bird with dimensionals. Add two die cut pine branches under the bird.
Add glue only to the right side of circle and adhere to back fold panel. This becomes your fun fold and the left side of circle will hold the card closed.
Glue berry clusters along the pine strip on back fold.
Finish with shimmer gems.
Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" Score: 4-1/4" (Very Vanilla Cardstock)
Basic Beige Layer: 4 x 5-1/4"
Shaded Spruce Layer: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2"
(1) Bird Duo Die Cut (from DSP)
(1) Sentiment Die Cut (Basic White Cardstock) Something Fancy Dies
(2) Fussy Cut Berry Clusters (from DSP)
(6) Earth Tones Shimmer Gems
INSTRUCTIONS
Stamp thanks sentiment onto the white die cut in Cherry Cobbler ink. Set aside.
Emboss the Basic Beige layer with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. OPTIONAL: ink with Whisper White pigment ink pad for a white wash look.
Glue Basic Beige panel to card base.
Cut the pine frame die into the Shaded Spruce layer and remove center piece. Add to card with foam adhesive strips. OPTIONAL: Add some shading with Blending Brush to pine needles along the frame with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (prior to removing the center piece of die cut)
Color over the birds with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend. OPTIONAL: add some shadow with Bronze Stampin' Blend to birds.
Add birds (now cardinals or red birds) to the right side of card with dimensionals. Glue sentiment to bottom left corner and glue berry clusters to either side of sentiment.
Finish with Shimmer Gems.
