Here are some alternate card ideas featuring the March 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Fluttering Garden!
Instructions:
Paper Pumpkin Kit Card Base
Beautifully Celebrated Die Cut: 4 x 4-7/8" (Pretty Peacock Cardstock)
Beautifully Celebrated Die Cut: 3 x 3-3/4" (Paper Pumpkin Kit Card Base)
(2) Hummingbird Die Cuts
(3) Embellishments from Kit
Using Versamark ink stamp the "splatter pattern stamp" from the kit around the edges of the Pretty Peacock layer. Sprinkle Gold Embossing Powder and heat set with heat tool.
NOTE: For all of the heat embossing I recommend an anti-static powder tool which is including the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Wiping this across the surface prior to stamping removes oils so the powder only sticks to the Versamark ink. This is an optional step but I highly recommend it.
Repeat the stamping technique with Pretty Peacock ink around the edges of the second layer.
Position your hummingbirds and stamp the anniversary greeting under them. For fun, add some pretty peacock with water painter to bellies of the birds (slightly damp brush, not sopping wet)
Adhere to card and finish with embellishments under greeting.
This card has the same stamping technique as above with the rounded bottom floral spray stamp all the way around the Coastal Cabana layer (4 x 4-7/8") and then heat embossed with gold powder.
Pretty Peacock Layer is 2-1/8 x 2-5/8" with the Hello greeting stamp from kit in gold heat emboss as well.
The card base also has the flower trio stamp in Pretty Peacock along the top and bottom of the card.
Paper Pumpkin Kit Card Base
Beautifully Celebrated Die Cut: 4 x 4-7/8" (Gorgeous Grape Cardstock)
Beautifully Celebrated Die Cut: 3 x 3-3/4" (Watercolor Emboss Resist Layer)
Beautifully Celebrated Die Cut: 1-5/8 x 2" (Basic White Cardstock)
(3) Small Hummingbird Die Cuts
(4) Embellishments from Kit
Instructions:
Create a background with emboss resist technique. Take a piece of the watercolor paper. Stamp background. I used the large leafy stamp and the splatter stamp with Versamark ink first. Sprinkle clear embossing powder over the pattern and heat set with heat tool.
Do a watercolor wash using water and a drop of Coastal Cabana ink from your refill or stamp pad, mix and paint over the pattern with large water painter brush. This can be nice and wet because I used the watercolor paper to create this background. Die cut with Beautifully Celebrated Dies. I was able to get two die cuts from one piece of 5 x 7 watercolor paper. (Allow to dry before die cutting)
OPTIONAL: With Coastal Cabana ink stamp a background pattern on the card base as well.
Stamp greeting "Birthday Wishes" from kit onto the smallest die cut in Gorgeous Grape ink.
Finish with hummingbirds and embellishments.
This card has the same background as above except the watercolor layer die is 3-1/2 x 4-1/4" Early Espresso layer is 4 x 4-7/8"
Instructions:
Paper Pumpkin Card Base
Branching Out Die: 3-1/2 x 4-7/8" Pretty Peacock Cardstock
Branching Out Die: 3-1/8 x 4-1/2" Watercolor Paper Layer
(1) Large Hummingbird Die Cut
(1) Mothers Day Die Cut
(1) Beautiful Die Cut
(3) Embellishments from Kit
This card also features the emboss resist technique. This pattern features the flower trio stamp from kit, clear emboss powder on the watercolor paper again this time using Gorgeous Grape. Die Cut with Branching Out Dies.
My goal was to create a gradient effect, darker ink in the flowers and lighter shading above the flowers. It gives it a sort of halo effect and it's okay to be messy and use water on the watercolor paper.
Assemble your card and finish with embellishments.
Same measurements and technique as above except this is Old Olive ink and water with the emboss resist pattern and I placed this pattern vertically.
This card is the closest to the Paper Pumpkin designed cards. I used black heat emboss powder on this wreath pattern using the stamp from the kit and following along with the printed circle on the card base. I cut this into a layer with Beautifully Celebrated Dies in 3-1/2 x 4-1/4" size. Gorgeous Grape in the largest die.
I did use the water painters to color this image (the fine tip brush) but I really kept the brush damp *NOT WET* because I was coloring on regular paper and not watercolor paper you don't want it to warp, so try to use as little water as possible when coloring.
This is a nice option if you don't want to add hummingbirds to your card.
